LeBron James reached another milestone in his unprecedented career of the NBA on Tuesday, becoming the first player to score 50,000 total points after hitting a pointer in the first quarter of the game at the Lakers house against the Pelicans.
James entered the contest with 49,999 combined regular points and playoff points and drained a Deep shot to add another historical moment to the historical ‘King James’ race.
James, 40, already has the most regular season points after breaking the score record of all Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in February 2023, a brand that had resisted 39 years.

Akron’s native, Ohio, also has the playoff score record of all time, a title that took Michael Jordan in May 2017.
James has not shown signs of decelerating in his 22nd season in the League.
He was appointed player of the month of the West Conference for February, extending his league record at 41 monthly awards, including three with the Lakers.
He is also the oldest player to win the award, passing the previous record established by Karl Malone (37 years) with the Utah Jazz in November 2000.
The four -time NBA champion, James and the Lakers, have been in a tear since they acquired Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks in an impressive exchange for Anthony Davis last month.
They entered Tuesday’s contest on a six -game winning streak and shot at the second place at the West Conference.
