LeBron James played the hero for the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night in the team’s victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Los Angeles followed Indiana 119-118 with a few remaining seconds in the game. Luka Doncic dripped in the lane and did everything possible to make his team victory. The shot was off and James entered the paint and inclined the ball in the basket before the bell sounded.

The Lakers won, 120-119.
“I was just trying to read the edge of the edge,” James said. “It seemed that it was a bit short, but I knew I had the opportunity to enter if I hit the front edge. Once it came out, I wanted to take advantage of it with enough time. Obviously, you could probably see me looking at the Jumbotron to see if I really got it in time and it was a good play for us.”
James finished with 13 points and extended his scoring score streak at 1,283 consecutive games.
“It’s what is necessary to help your teammates win,” he said. “I can do other things to impact the game, that is the beauty of my game, I have always built my whole life in terms of being three -dimensional, being able to involve my boys, to recover, defend and spray some points here and there.”

The Lakers allowed the Pacers to return to the game in the third quarter. Indiana got off up to 17 points, but only went down three before the final period began.
“Obviously, I know I can score the ball,” he said. “But until we find some offensive rhythm or whatever the case, the defensive side is the most important for our ball club.”
