LeBron James’s retirement comes sooner rather than later, but on Saturday, fans may have given fans a preview of when it approaches.
In a seven -second video posted on social networks, the four -time MVP is seen in front of journalists at a press conference when one asks: “Are true retirement rumors? What follows?”
Then, the camera shows a solo shot by James about to answer the question before the screen darkens, finishing the video.

“I’ve been asking the same question …” James subtitled the publication, with shush and crown emojis. Tagged the video as an ad using a hashtag.
James has just completed his 22nd year in the NBA and has barely shown signs of deceleration. In his 40 -year season, he averaged 24.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds. He published 10 Triple Elves last season, his eldest since 2019-20, when he won his fourth NBA championship.

He obtained his 21st consecutive assent from All-Star, extending his record. After celebrating 40 years on December 30, James averaged 25.1 points per game, mostly for any of 40 years or more.
James became the first player in the NBA history to play in the association while his son Bronny James was recruited by Los Angeles Lakers last summer, and the two played in 21 games together.

If James ends up playing in 2025-26, it would be his 23rd NBA season, which would establish a new record. He currently shares the record with Vince Carter. He still has to commit and said he would think about his future after his Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs.
