Corey Parker, star of ‘Will & Grace’, dies at 60

Corey Parker breathed his last at age 60 after battling cancer in his final years, his aunt Emily Parker told reporters.

He Will and Grace The star has left behind a long and excellent list of credits that include the classic show, as well as Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning, Biloxi Blues, White Palace, Love Boat: The Next Wave, Nashville and Blue Skies, and 9 and a Half Weeks.

Parker passed away on Thursday, March 5, in Memphis, Tennessee, due to an undisclosed form of cancer.

Fans were shocked by the incredible news as the actor had led a discreet life in the latter part of his life, according to a TMZ report.

Parker focused on teaching and trained many young actors for many years.

On Instagram, acting studio BGB shared a message from his sister Noelle, which read: “I believe he left this world weightless, at peace and surrounded by love. I am writing to you, Corey, here, directly, because that is how I…we…keep you with us. I have known and loved you for the past 45 years, since our EST days in New York as starving wild artists.”

The moving statement continued: “You were a huge part of my creative work, my creative family, for decades. It meant everything came full circle when you joined our BGB community as a teacher, and we navigated the work together, all of us, always returning to the truth and the potential of storytelling, to the infinite power of the actor. You kept us all honest and brave and about the art.”

She celebrated the genius she left behind, writing: “And so we celebrate your incredible talent, your incomparable passion and joy at work and in your family, your enormous gift and devotion to teaching, your generosity, your love. All of our lives are so much richer for knowing you, and you continue in each of us, and in what you gave and inspired us… forever.”
