Before becoming legends on the grill, every NFL legend was a humble rookie who hoped to have an impact with his team.
As the NFL 2025 rookie class prepares for its first crack when doing exactly that, some of those legends surprised them thanks to fans.
Genuine shock led some strong emotions of this year’s rookies.

The NFL legends, including Tom Brady, Barry Sanders, Joe Montana, Peyton and Eli Manning, Tim Brown and Jerry Rice gathered surprise videos for some of the main rookies of the Draft class.
Fans shared the moment when the Tennessee Titans, the first general selection, the field marshal Cam Ward, saw Brady appear on the screen to give him some wise words.

“You’re going to grow in a way that you couldn’t even imagine, and I’m going to be looking, and I’m always pulling you,” Brady said.
“Simply crazy about the best player of all time to send me a video like that,” Ward replied after watching Brady’s video.
Brady also distributed some tips to the receiver of the New England patriots, Kyle Williams, who could not contain his emotions when he looked under his seat and found a shirt signed with Brady, just like Ward.

Each rookie received a video and a signed shirt from a legend that played for their team, or a current veteran who plays his position.
Take the star receptor of the Los Angeles Rams, Puka Nacua, speaking with your fellow Hawaiian receiver, Tetaira McMillan of the Carolina Panthers. Rice also spoke with Jacksonville Jaguars Star Travis Hunter.
“It was not the most talented guy, but I had my work ethics, and I was not going to let anyone overcome me,” Rice told Hunter.
“Way of being a selection among the top five, man. We talked about it. You did it. Congratulations,” said Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys, Micah Parsons, the new york giants’ rookie, Abdul Carter, a Penn State partner who will now be his rival.

And the new Carter teammate, the Cam Skattebo corridor, could not contain his tears after listening to Eddie George to give him words of encouragement.
As these rookies continue to grind in the training camp, they will be sponges, soaking in all the tips and information they can get to ensure that they are walking along the right path to reach the heights at which these legends arrived.
