- Filrated images of Lenovo Legion Go 2 indicate that the new hand computer will have steam variants
- The new device will be exhibited in IFA 2025 in Berlin
- It comes in the next ‘full -screen experience’ of Microsoft for the Rog Xbox Ally X
IFA 2025 is about to start in Berlin, Germany, and recent leaks have indicated that the new Lenovo Go 2 Legion will be announced. Fortunately, it has given us more information about what to expect.
As reported by Notebookckck, one of the leaked images of Evan Blass (Evleaks On X) shows the Lenovo Legion Go 2 using the Valve vapor, which suggests that the device will at least have a variant of steamos. This would continue in the same steps as its counterpart of Lenovo Legion Go S, which has the AMD Ryzen Z2 Go and Ryzen Z1 Extreme Steam we are.
It may not be a big surprise since Valve’s vapor are constantly growing in popularity, particularly for hand computers with access to Bazzite (a steam clone). And Lenovo seems to be sure of the operating system with the Legion Go 2.
Although Legion Go 2 was announced and revealed in early January in CES 2025, it was only a prototype, and has not yet left that phase. However, the prototype seems to be identical to the model that we can see in the filtered renders (available below), in terms of ergonomics, and will still use the new Ryzen Z2 Extreme of AMD.
Lenovo will probably stay with Microsoft Windows 11 as the main operating system (for one or more of its models) as expected. However, after all, Lenovo is the only conventional manufacturer that has some of its portable devices (obviously outside the Valve vapor deck) officially licensed by Steamos, and the Linux -based operating system that reaches another Lenovo Handheld is a great sign that Valve can be intensifying the efforts to bring to the steam to other men.
It is also worth noting that the next Rog Xbox Ally X by Asus and Microsoft will be launched with a new ‘full -screen experience’ in Windows 11, which essentially uses the Xbox PC application to provide a hand -friendly user experience, almost replicate Valve’s vapor. Once this is deployed to another next year, it will be interesting how Valve Magnum is going to the work.
Analysis: This is excellent for others by hand if Lenovo and Valve keep it.
I will be honest, I can get from Windows 11 from Microsoft, especially In the PC of portable games, better, and I love what Lenovo and Valve are doing with the Go Go Handhelds Legion.
This paves that other conventional manufacturers such as Asus or MSI eventually bring steam to their devices, and I can tell you that my experience with the MSI Claw 8 AI+ makes me love that more than anything else. I am sure that Xbox’s new full screen experience will be excellent on Windows 11, but I think it’s too late to win as I said before.
Once again, there is no official confirmation that we are reaching the Lenovo Legion Go 2, but I am almost certain that it will do so, since it would be strange if it is in a rendering for the next device, and also the same has been done with the Legion Go S.
I will not get the Legion Go 2, especially if it will have a price of what it is speculated, but it is certainly pleasant to see Valve looking beyond his steam dealer in the efforts to improve the experiences of the portable games.
