- Lenovo’s new ultrawide OLED gaming laptop leaked
- It features a horizontal roll-up design similar to the ThinkBook’s vertical screen.
- It is expected to be revealed at CES 2026.
Portable gaming continues to improve year after year, with advancements in both mobile and notebook PCs. However, PC maker Lenovo is about to take laptop gaming to another level.
Windows Latest reports that material has been leaked related to a Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable, a new gaming laptop with Windows 11 and an expandable OLED display.
You may remember that Lenovo has made a rollable laptop before, namely the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6. However, the twist to this gaming laptop is that the screen does not expand vertically, but horizontally (unfolding on both sides to produce additional screen real estate).
In other words, the Lenovo Legion Pro Rollable will become the world’s first ultrawide OLED gaming laptop when the screen is extended.
Of course, this is still a rumor (all we have is the word from Windows Latest and some leaked promotional photos), but the expectation is that this laptop will be revealed at CES 2026.
With a 21:9 aspect ratio display, we can expect this gaming laptop to run at a resolution of at least 2560 x 1080, or possibly 3440 x 1440, depending on the screen size.
As for the specifications, Windows Latest claims that this system will be equipped with an Intel Core Ultra processor, but there is no information on the GPU yet.
Analysis: Lenovo could be starting something big for portable gamers
This is an ambitious gaming laptop design and could have the potential to spark a new trend in ultrawide portable gaming.
However, there are concerns here, one of which is obviously the price. The hardware used (specifically the CPU and GPU) to drive ultrawide resolution means this device is likely to be very expensive, and the expansive screen certainly comes with a premium price tag as well.
Then there’s the issue of the extra weight of the mechanism for the expandable display, but hopefully Lenovo can keep most of the device within reasonable limits. If so, the Legion Pro Rollable could be a game-changer for consumers, especially avid ultrawide fans.
This laptop could achieve the immersion you get from an ultrawide desktop gaming setup and combine it with the portability of a laptop. Furthermore, the screen will not only be good for gaming, but also for working, as ultra-wide screens are ideal for productivity.
As always, keep in mind that this is just a leak, but if this rollable laptop arrives soon, it could be a central part of Lenovo’s January reveals at CES 2026.
