The star of Indiana Fever, Lexie Hull, and the Seattle Storm Gabby Williams striker collided when the two WNBA teams met on Tuesday.

In later days, Hull has developed a couple of black eyes.

The fever coach, Stephanie White said the brands underlined Hull’s sand.

“Every time I see her, I say: ‘Oh, poor Lexie,” White said Friday. “But, you know, I think that Lexie’s hardness really personifies when you look at her, and you see those two black eyes. I mean, it’s hard as the nails, you know.

“She plays all the possessions, all the time, and sometimes the result is two black eyes, so I smile every time I see her. But it is definitely a perfect point of view of the hardness it brings.”

In the first quarter of Tuesday, Hull and Williams fell to the floor in visible Pain Moments after calling heads. The coaches attended to the athletes, who could eventually get up and walk without help. Williams returned to register the game later in the first quarter.

Hull returned to the fever bank after spending time in the costume area. Hull seemed to have a knot on his forehead once he went back into the game.

The game ended with five points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes. The fever went to a 95-75 victory.

While the swelling finally decreased, Hull stayed with bruises under his eyes. Hull said he quickly felt comfortable with the fact that the condition would be something he would have to deal with for the moment.

“I put a patch (in the knot), I slept with him. The next day, I woke up, and I thought: ‘Ok, the blow has almost left, but now I have two black eyes’, so it was tragic,” Hull said. “But, I mean, it is at this point that, unfortunately, I will not be able to hide it. People know it, so just roll with that.”

Hull said the coaches made their due diligence to ensure that it did not hold a facial fracture or any other serious injury. He confirmed that he had “been completely reviewed” before returning to Tuesday’s game.

“Honestly, when it happened, I felt relieved, because I could feel myself, as if it were good to go, as I felt completely with that,” Hull said. “They did all the tests they had to do and put ice immediately try to keep the swelling down, but I felt good knowing that, as, obviously, it could have been much worse. And I am grateful for the online people who want to verify and make sure that I am fine, but I am fine, I have been completely reviewed.”

After the victory of 20 points on Tuesday over the storm, the fever remained for a victory of a point over the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday. Next, the Golden State Valkyries are scheduled to receive Indiana’s Sunday.
