- 4K 120Hz Cloud Gaming on LG TVS since September 2025
- Geforce was also updated on LG monitors, PC and steam deck
- Requires a GeForce Now Ultimate Subscription
Nvidia has announced a massive update of games for LG televisions: they can deliver 4k 120Hz games based on the cloud through Geforce now, provided it has a subscription to GeForce Now Ultimate and a compatible television.
That’s not all. The same update that these televisions are also promoting is also taking the cloud games to up to 5k 120Hz in LG monitors and up to 360 fps at 1080p on PC.
The high performance transmission is thanks to the powerful combination of the Blackwell architecture of NVIDIA and its GEFORCE RTX 5080 class GPU on the company’s transmission servers: they do heavy work and transmit the data directly to and from its TV, monitor or PC.
GeForce now offers updates for all
As Flatpanelshd reports, GeForce now will also increase the frame speeds on the steam deck of 60 fps to 90 fps, will deliver “high performance games” in MACS by offering access to new generation GPUs and will be transmitted to up to 360 fps on PC at 1080p.
The Blackwell Architecture and RTX 5080 class 5080 GPU are enormously powerful: Nvidia says they exceed PlayStation 5 Pro for more than three times, delivering 62 Teraflops.
The updated service also promises better color accuracy, a softer transmission thanks to the use of the AV1 A COD to up to 100Mbps and video filters with AI “for selected games” to reduce the blur and noise on the screen.
According to the CEO of Nvidia, Jensen Huang, “bringing the Nvidia Blackwell architecture, one of the most important computer graphics innovations in the world, Geforce now represents the greatest jump in the cloud games. With Blackwell, Geforce now offers even more impressive graphics, faster frame rates and insignificant latency to turn any device into a device high rivals.
The Geforce update now with the Nvidia Blackwell architecture will begin to be implemented with subscribers in September. You can see the TV list now compatible from LG GeForce here: it is not yet clear if everyone admits 4k 120Hz of GeForce now, even if they can support it through HDMI.
But we would say that it is quite safe to assume that if you have a newer and premium LG TV, especially an OLED, it should be safe to assume that you are compatible. We already describe the LG OED among the best game televisions, so this only solidifies it (at least, until others are updated).
