- Fyi.raidio is available in the LG Xboom range
- Ai people to help you immerse yourself deeply in the details
- “Culturally intelligent” to be relevant to all
Fans of music, AI and random capitalization rejoice: Will.i.am’s fyi.raidio is reaching the fantastic record of LG Xboom and the solid lg xboom bouncing speakers, anything that makes this impressive range even more entertaining is an advantage.
Fyi.raidio is “not only another transmission service”, they tell us: uses characters with which you can interact in real time. You can find out about the music that is reproduced, explore the stories of the artists, discover if they are playing near you or simply get lifestyle advice. And according to Fyi.raidio, people “are designed to reflect different cultural perspectives” so that their interactions feel friendly and relevant.
To access the service, you can press the My button on the speaker or go through the FYI application. Doing “transforms the speaker of a passive device into a receptive partner that listens, informs and entertains.”
What is the plan, Will.i.am?
We have talked about AI and musical technology with Will.i.am this year, and he had some interesting things to say. He told us that the AI would turn the speakers into the communicators, with their speaker becoming an “impressive jokes.”
Instead of having a traditional smart speaker where I tell him what to do and does not go beyond that, the vision of Will.i.am is from the speakers with which he can have deep conversations and “immerse yourself deeply in all the details … it will expand the critical thinking of people.”
Fyi means Focus his ideas, and Will.i.am came up with the central proposal during Covid when he was “caught at home like everyone else.” Frustrated having to use multiple applications for multiple things just to keep in touch with people, it provides for a better and fed alternative. What would happen if “could establish contacts with intelligent experts in these different domains but make them feel expressive, quasi as humans?”
The radio application, or Raido, is part of that, so, instead of seeing it as an independent characteristic, it may be better to think about it as a preview: today is music, tomorrow could be all kinds of communication.
As Will.i.am told us, he wants to climb: with a little help from Qualcomm, he wants to “take our solution to more vehicles, more devices, more televisions, more speakers.”
