The Superior Court of Lahore (LHC) rejected an application to immediately suspend certain sections of the 2025 Peca Law bill, seeking responses from the relevant authorities about a petition that defies the constitutionality of the law. Judge Farooq Haider, while presiding over Case, commented that a decision would be made only after listening to all interested parties. Subsequently, the judge issued notices to the respondents, ordering them to submit their answers within three weeks. The petition was presented by Jaffar Bin Yar through his lawyer Nadem Sarwar, with respondents, including the Pakistan Federation through the division of the Ministry of Law and Cabinet, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications, and the PTA through its president.
