LAHORE:

The Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has constituted a full bench to hear petitions challenging the Punjab Property Act.

The three-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Aalia Neelum and comprising Justice Muhammad Jawad Zafar and Justice Abher Gul Khan, will begin hearing petitions against the Property Act from February 23.

On December 22, the LHC issued an interim order, suspending the operation of the newly enacted Punjab Immovable Property Protection Ordinance, 2025, which empowered committees headed by deputy commissioners to decide property disputes.
