LHC summons the record of the 9 cases of May 9


LAHORE:

When listening to the requests for bail of the PTI leader, Ijaz Chaudhry, in four cases registered against him in relation to May 9, 2023, disturbances, a bank of the division of the Superior Court of Lahore (LHC) headed by Judge Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi has sought the registration of the continuous procedures of the Court of First Instance on Wednesday.

The deputy attorney general informed the court about the details of a case, stating that there were 16 defendants, of which some were on bail prior to the arrest, while others had been declared proclaimed criminals.

The founder of PTI, Imran Khan, had also been granted bail in the case.

The challan of the case had been filed before the Court, the statements of the prosecution’s witnesses had been registered and the interrogation of some of them had also been completed. He said more details will be shared on the next audience date.

He informed the bank that the bail of Ijaz Chaudhry, Umar Sarfraz Chema and Shafqat Mehmood in the case had been dismissed.
