Lily Allen withdrew her words from her criticism about the controversial space flight of Katy Perry.
On April 28, her episode Extrañame me? The Podcast Allen issued a detailed apology for his comments on Katy Perry after the 11 -minute space flight of its blue origin.
“Because we are talking about a very famous person who is a bit divisive, I would really like to apologize for being bad for Katy Perry last week,” said Allen about the compliments he made in an anterior episode of the podcast.
The singer and composer continued to say: “Actually, there was no need for me to bring her name. And it was my own internalized misogyny. I have been thinking about that a lot and it was completely unnecessary accumulating it.”
Allen admitted that she still “disagrees” with the space travel project, but specifically saying that Perry’s name was not the correct movement.
“I don’t know, there was something in me that decided to choose it as the person … well, anyway, I’m sorry. I would have been injured if it had been me and someone in my industry would use me and my name,” he explained.
“I’m sorry. I’m sorry, Katy Perry. I know you don’t listen to the program, but I’m sorry,” Allen concluded.
For those not versed, Jeff Bezof’s space of blue origin took place on April 14, which included a total of six women, including Katy Perry.
