- LinkedIn wants to use AI to determine the best results of his work, not specific keywords
- “The central problem in job search today is the discovery,” says LinkedIn Cpo
- You can also get a work party score by highlighting the strengths and skills gaps
LinkedIn has added further AI tools to the employment search area of its platform, which allows users to access the millions of listings on the site with simpler and more natural indications.
The tool works by understanding the intention behind the search for the job search engine, says the work site, since when using AI, search functionality reduces its dependence on the coincidence of specific keywords, improving the relevance and quality of the search results without users having to manufacture and adapt their machine searches.
LinkedIn Cpo Tomer Cohen explained how users can enter indications such as “I am looking for business development roles in the video game industry” to find similar coincidences.
LinkedIn is using AI to improve the relevance of the job search result
“The central problem in the job search today is the discovery, often require an understanding of the keywords, filters and complexities of the system itself,” Cohen explained.
In addition to improving the efficiency of the search, LinkedIn is also making changes in the way it coincides with users with jobs, which allows applicants to evaluate their adjustment before applying how well they fit a role, highlighting their strengths and skills gaps.
Once again, the Microsoft owned platform is using AI to reduce the dependence of specific keyword users, this time when you understand the implicit skills, for example, web developers will probably know HTML even if they are not listed.
“Premium subscribers obtain even deeper ideas, including the qualifications of work parties and processable suggestions to stand out in an increasingly competitive labor market,” Cohen explained.
Among the other updates that arrive in LinkedIn are personalized coaching of AI with processable comments and a professional travel tool to determine a personalized learning plan for workers looking for a career change: both tools are only available for premium subscribers.
In addition to its paid services, LinkedIn also occasionally makes some of its courses free, with its 10 most popular training courses currently free until the end of June 2025.
