Lionel Richie has opened on a rarely seen side of his late friend Michael Jackson.

“His daily life was what you could call eccentric,” Richie wrote. “Like an absent mentality teacher but still a child.”
According to Richie, the Quincy Jones music legend often joked with Jackson.
However, the pop star would laugh, apparently unconscious that sometimes a couple of days passed without changing or washing clothes.
Despite the peculiar habit, Richie emphasized Jackson’s extraordinary lifestyle and the constant creative routine played a role.
“He was touring with elaborate costumes made for him by his stylists, or was in his funds and shoes in the study,” he added.
“Or at home in something loose and comfortable to practice their dance movements and play with his pet collection,” Richie recalled.
While Richie described Jackson as “very close to his brothers and his mother,” he said once Suspense Singer was alone and became the most famous artist in the world, “he was in charge of his own ship” peculiarities and everything.
“Michael would also laugh, realizing that he was foreign,” Richie added. “We all have our peculiarities.”
