The Detroit Lions have been at the cusp of an appearance at the Super Bowl in the last two seasons after making the conference championship in 2023 and winning 15 games in 2024, but they have not yet been able to cross the line and in the largest sporting event of the year.
The member of the Profíse football hall, Barry Sanders, expressed his belief that he will carry the tandem of Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery to take them there.

“They are the best Duo of the NFL and there is no reason to change in the short term,” Sanders told the USA Today last week. “If a Super Bowl is in our future, in our near future, I would think that these two types would be a large part of that.”
Gibbs was the best corridor for the best qualified offensive in the league. The NFL led with 16 touchdowns by land. It had 1,412 yards per land. He obtained an assent from Pro Bowl for the second consecutive time.
Montgomery, the veteran, has shown what he is capable of when he is completely healthy. He had 775 yards by land and 12 touchdowns last year.

“David Montgomery, has been a great corridor in the NFL for many years, and only joined that of the Bears and placed it with this offensive line of the lions,” Sanders added. “And then, you see what Jahmyr Gibbs was able to do last season, really from the moment, the last two years he has been here, but I felt that last year was more a season of rupture for him.”
The lions only improved in the offensive line with the Tate Ratledge selection in the draft. He will be with Taylor Decker, Christian Mahogany, Frank Ragnow and Penei Sewell.
It is clear that the perception of the lions has changed since the arrival of Dan Campbell.

Expectations will only increase as the years advance. Detroit has exhibited what they can do in the regular season, but assemble it for an appearance at the Super Bowl will be key.
