Moments later Detroit lions Morice Norris security left the field in an ambulance during Friday’s preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons with a serious injury, the players of both teams stopped playing to meet in the middle of the Mercedes-Benz stadium and join in prayer.
Norris, 24, was injured at the beginning of the fourth quarter when he tried to address The Nathan Carter Falcon corridor. He remained motionless on the floor after Carter’s leg seemed to make contact with his head during the Tackle.

The game was delayed since Norris was treated by medical staff for about 20 minutes before leaving the field in an ambulance.

The game resumed shortly after and that was when the powerful scene developed.
The Falcons seemed to lose a snapshot when the players on both sides of the ball stopped. The clock continued working, leaving the announcers and confused fans. The players grabbed their hands, bowed their heads and stood up In a circle to pray.
“Man, it is a violent game, and we love it, but when something like this happens, the positive side is the brotherhood,” said Lions chief coach Dan Campbell, after the game when he talks to the media. “I mean, seeing all those guys, of that team, our team, gathering and everyone is thinking about another player, only means a lot.”

An emotional Campbell said that he and the chief coach of the Falcons, Raheem Morris, had agreed that they would not continue the game, adding that “he simply did not feel good.” With 6:31 remaining in the game, the official call of the League arrived in that play had been suspended.
“When something like that happens, it puts things in perspective,” Campbell added. “I’m just praying for Mo. I ask everyone to pray for him.”
The lions said in an update on Friday night that Norris was in “stable condition” and that he had “feeling and movement in all their extremities.”

“He is breathing, he’s talking. It’s good. He has some movement. They are now executing more evidence,” Campbell added.
Norris had to remain in the Gray Memorial hospital in Atlanta during the night “for observation.”
