- Logitech has presented the A20 x gaming star headphones
- This multiplatform game headset is light and has an impressive battery life
- However, its design is almost identical to the existing logitech G522
Logitech has just presented A20 X Gaming Astro headphones, a new model in its multiplatform Astro family.
A successor to Astro A20, the A20 X is designed to deliver a premium sound with 40 mm Pro-G audio controllers and the same high-resolution microphone of 48 kHz found in the Astro A50 X. of high resolution found in the Astro A50 X.
Reaching only 10.2 Oz / 290 g, it is an impressively light headset and offers a high level of comfort thanks to its luxurious memory foam lands.
It also has eight customizable lighting zones, adjustable through compatible PC Logitech G Hub software. When it comes to the battery life, you get about 40 hours with the RGB on and the 90 -hour whop with it, more than enough for most players.
Detect the difference
As great as all this, I am still disappointed by Astro A20 X. Physically, it looks almost identical to the logitech G522 Lightspeed existing, a recent headset that comes with a very similar technology under the hood.
Despite some red cosmetic elements, the A20 X star has very little in common with the design of other Astro products, which tend to have a more angular appearance. The headphones do not even seem to have the star logo, which makes me question why it is even being marketed with that name first.
The headset is included with a unique plaync base, differentiating it from the G522, and a new button that allows it to exchange without problems between two platforms, but I am not sure that it justifies the use of the star brand, and it is a shame to see that it loses part of its eyelashes as a result.
The Astro A20 x hits shelves in October or black. It comes at $ 179.99, which is a little higher than the initial price of $ 159.99 of the G522, quite fair given the addition of the base.
The price of the United Kingdom is TBC at the time of writing, although I hope it costs about £ 20 more than the G522 of £ 139.99.
