Louis Tomlinson sheds light on why he titled his newly released album How did I get here?
Breaking down the meaning behind the name of his third solo album, the former One Direction star reflected on fame, fear and the role his fans have played in his journey during a conversation about Zach Sang Show.
“I was playing around with a few different titles for the album, but none of them had the scope I wanted,” the 34-year-old English singer-songwriter shared. “I wanted a title that had enough meaning and importance.”
Her response came after host Zach Sang asked if the album’s title was related to a time she performed and sang Adele’s song and her fear of going on stage. “Is that what it means how I got here?” asked.
“A little, a little”, the X Factor UK the judge responded. “What’s more, I interpret the album as a statement and, as in Northern English, I would coin it as how the hell did I get in?”
“And it’s more just a statement, you’re just looking around and, you know, there are many times in my career where that has surprised me,” he explained.
How did I get here? a 12-track album, it was released on January 23.
