Low code and without code tools remain crucial and will continue to live in an Improved AI, according to new research.
Despite the promise of artificial intelligence to increase the efficiency and accessibility of coding, technological leaders consider AI to improve low and without code tools, instead of replacing them.
An APP Builder report revealed that almost all companies (95%) have used low and without code tools in the last year for software development, highlighting their prevalence for companies everywhere.
Three out of four (76%) technological leaders imagine the AI that makes their existing tools more efficient, with even more (84%) confirming that AI will not replace their dependence on low -code and without code solutions.
“As the AI converges with a low and without code code, we will see a completely new paradigm that arises that will change the way applications are built, who can build them and how fast it can happen,” said Jason Beres, SVP of developer tools in infragists, the company behind App Builder.
Almost every (98%) technological leader has reported development time savings with low and without code solutions, with almost four (78%) companies that save up to 50%of the development time. Two others in three (67%) say they have reduced their costs by up to 30%, with one out of ten more than half of their costs thanks to simpler tools.
The report said that companies focus more and more to build personalized applications, lack of resources and a shortage of global skills make low and without code solutions not particularly useful in this area.
Beres aggregate companies should not only focus on automating the development of applications to improve efficiency, productivity and collaboration, but should also continue to invest in improvement to ensure that their workers are prepared to handle emerging technologies and changing demands.
