The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a statement on Monday saying that Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed (retd) has been taken into military custody.
The move is in line with the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
As per the orders, Pakistan Army carried out a detailed investigation into the Top City case involving Faiz Hameed.
The ISPR revealed that disciplinary action has been initiated against him under the Pakistan Army Act.
Furthermore, several violations of the Pakistan Army Act by Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed (Retd.) have been confirmed after his retirement. He is now in military custody and a general field court-martial process has begun.
