The Inter Miami striker, Luis Suarez, seemed to spit a member of the Seattle Sounders personnel in the middle of high tensions after Seattle’s 3-0 defeat to win the 2025 Leagues Cup Final on Sunday.
A thrust match between the two teams exploded almost immediately after the final whistle.

The coach of the Sounders, Brian Schmetzer, lamented the “frustrations” after the game, but insisted that he would not allow that to be “the story.”

“Unfortunately, that is going to move away some of the attention of a great performance by the Seattle Sounders,” said Schmetzer, Via ESPN. “His players were frustrated and that led to some things in the field that should not happen in the field.
“I’m going to close that, because that shouldn’t be the story. The story of the game is not what happened after the game. I had a quiet moment with [Lionel] Messi In the field [after the game] And we talk and try to push it aside.

Messi did not participate in the fight after the game.
Sunday was not Suárez’s first controversy. He has bitten the players on several occasions, especially the defender of Italy Giorgio Chiellini during the group stage of the FIFA World Cup 2014.
FIFA prohibited it as a result, ending its participation in that World Cup.
