Luka Doncic wrote a farewell letter to fans of Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, hours after the team changed it to the Los Angeles Lakers in a box office success that shook the NBA world.
The Lakers acquired Doncic and Maxi Kleber in an agreement for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and a draft selection. The Utah Jazz were also involved in the agreement.

Doncic is five times there and five times first All-NBA team. He is averaging 28.1 points per game.
It was the face of the Mavericks since the team acquired it in the NBA Draft of the Atlanta Hawks. The 25 -year -old is among the promising stars that are expected to be the face of the league, if they are not. That is why trade itself was incredibly impressive.
Doncic thanked fans for their support. He did not mention the team itself.
“Seven years ago, I came here when I was a teenager to pursue my dream of playing basketball at the highest level,” Doncic wrote. “I thought my career would happen here and I wanted so much to bring you a championship. The love and support that everyone has given me is more than I could have dreamed. For a Slovenia boy who comes to the United States. For the first time, You made the north of Texas feel at home.

“In the good and bad times, from the injuries to the finals of the NBA, your support never changed. Thank you not only for sharing my joy in our best memories, but also met when I needed it most.
“To all the organizations with which I have worked throughout the community of Dallas, thanks for letting me contribute to your important job and join you to bring light to those who need it. At the beginning of the next part of my basketball trip, I am to go out from a city that will always feel like a home away from home.
“Dallas is a special place, and MAV fans are special fans.
“Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.”
Doncic will now join LeBron James and Lakers while pursuing another NBA championship.

“Grateful for this incredible opportunity,” he added in a publication to his Instagram stories. “Basketball means everything to me, and it doesn’t matter where I play the game, I will do it with the same passion and objective of joy: winning championships.”
