A young student died tragically after being subjected to five hours of incessant physical abuse by his teachers in a Madrassa in the Khwazakhela Swat area in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Express News reported Tuesday.
The incident has triggered anger and generalized pain in the region. Family members and local residents took to the streets in protest, blocking the main road in Khwazakhela Bazaar, demanding severe punishment for the teachers involved.
According to a fellow student, the victim was confined to a room by three teachers, who turned to torture for five hours. The abuse continued without interruption, and each teacher inflicted more pain until the child finally succumbed to his wounds.
Local residents have urged the Government and the law enforcement agencies to implement stronger supervision and monitoring systems within Madrassas to avoid such horrible incidents. They have also requested the immediate arrest and prosecution of the teachers involved in the assault.
