At least 10 people, including the head of an unregistered Madrassa, have been arrested in relation to the brutal murder of a child in the Swat Khwazakhela area in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, while the police continue to look for two key suspects in the case, police officer Swat (DPO) Mohammad Omar Khan confirmed Wednesday on Wednesday.

On July 21, Farhan’s beaten body was taken to the Khwazakhela hospital. The police immediately began an investigation after the child’s uncle, Sadr Ayaz, presented a report, which led to the identification of Madrassa’s head, Qari Mohammad Omar and other suspects.
“A FIR was presented under the Law on Child Murder and Protection against Madrassa’s head, his son and other suspects,” said Dpo Khan, adding: “Two of the defendants, Abdullah and Bakht Amin, have been arrested, and we are chasing the remaining suspects.”
Police investigation revealed signs of physical abuse to other children in the Madrassa, which caused an additional case against nine teachers, all of which were arrested.
“Approximately 160 children registered in the Madrassa have been delivered to their parents,” he said. The Madrassa, who found that it operated illegally, has been sealed by the authorities. DPO Khan announced that a list of madrasas not registered in the district is being compiled, and strict measures against them will be taken.
In addition, in a related case in Gulkada, two men, Mohammad Rahman and Abdul Salam, were arrested under the child protection law for their participation in the abuse of another child. “We will not tolerate cruelty or abuse against children, and those responsible will be taken before justice,” said Dpo Khan.

A day before, a young student died tragically after being subjected to five hours of implacable physical abuse by his teachers in a Madrassa in the Swat Khwazakhela area in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a fellow student, the victim was confined to a room by three teachers, who turned to torture for five hours. The abuse continued without interruption, and each teacher inflicted more pain until the child finally succumbed to his wounds.
