Mahrang’s rowing extended

QUETTA:

An anti -terrorism court (ATC) in Quetta on Saturday sent the Balochjehti (Byc), Mahrang Baloch committee, and other organizers of the group to police custody for 20 days.

The arrest of the BYC chief has spread once more. In March, Mahrang and other members of the ByC were arrested for charges of attacking the Civil Hospital Quetta and causing public disturbances, after a police repression during their protest against alleged forced disappearances.

Mahrang is currently in the prison of the Hudda district in Quetta under section 3 of MPO, a legal provision that allows authorities to arrest the people considered a threat to public peace.
