Following the continuous tensions and the imminent possibility of a military operation, the migration of Mamond Tehsil of Bajaur continues incessantly.

According to local sources, hundreds of families have abandoned to the area, seeking security in other parts of the district and beyond.

The district administration also ordered the elimination of corn crops planted less than 100 meters from the road.

Farmers have received a three -day ultimatum to harvest their crops, and officials cite security considerations behind the directive.

The authorities said the measures are part of the precautionary steps that are taken, since the situation remains volatile in the region.

On Friday, the seventh round of Bajaur Peace Jirga concluded without advance, since the negotiations reached a key point at a key dispute point between the two parts. Both parties raised objections in a particular clause in discussion, which resulted in a dead point.

In statements to the media, the Peace Member Jirga, Sahibzada Haroonur Rasheed, confirmed the dead point and said: “Efforts are being made to resolve the dead point. The Jirga is still committed to playing his role in maintaining peace in the region.”

He urged both parties to exercise restriction and patience during the continuous process.

“We have appealed to both parties to demonstrate tolerance. They have assured us that in the case of any conflict, civilians will not be harmed,” he added.

In a significant development, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, summoned the members of Baja Jirga to the home of the principal minister in Peshawar on Saturday, August 9.

The movement is seen as a step to accelerate resolution efforts and restore calm in the area.

Bajaur Peace Jirga remains a vital platform for dialogue and conflict resolution in the region. Despite current setbacks, mediators are still hopeful for progress in the next few days.
