Dan Hurley was far from being excited with arbitration in the defeat of Uconn 77-75 against Florida in the second round of the NCAA tournament on Sunday, to the point of warning Baylor, a team in a similar situation that faces a seed number 1.
The Hurley Huskies had to have their opportunities from three mobs ended Sunday afternoon after falling short of the Gators, seed number 1 in the western region of the March crazy group.
Instead, they left the disappointed court, and Hurley did not put their words for the Baylor Bears hoping to face the Duke Blue Devils, another number 1 seed.

“I hope they don’t do it, you like to have encouraged us. I hope they don’t do that to you, Baylor,” Hurley was listened to in the tunnel.
The intensity and forceful nature of Hurley is one of his presentation cards, and never comes without an explanation.

He spoke with the journalists after the hard defeat about the arbitration, specifically a non -called against one of his players, Alex Karaman, after a GATORS player made a clear contact with him in the attempt to shoot at the end of the game.
At that time, UConn was up, 61-59, with just over three minutes to play.
“Part of (the emotion) is probably just the season, how tumultuous the season has been,” Hurley began, through USA Today. “The team fought and fought just to qualify for the tournament, and then how the game was developed, three in recent media (waiting time) we have two errors of free throws.
“With the previous teams, we have had problems like that, but those games were in 15-18, so they were not so magnified. And obviously, Karaban Drive in the baseline, you know, there was a lot of contact there and we were ready, I think that at that time or two potentially. I thought it was also a great game.”

Looking at the box score, Florida was called for less faults than UConn (17 to 24), although they had problems in the free throw line, making only 22 of 34 shots. The Huskies lost three of their 22 attempts.
“I think that when we return and we see this movie on the return flight today, I think he will be in love with seeing those pages of free throws again, looking at Karaman’s end in the baseline without a call,” Hurley admitted.
As a seed number 1, Florida is one of the favorites to make a national championship race, although there was always the possibility that he had to pass through UConn, who, as Hurley mentioned, fought to enter the tournament after a uprising campaign.

The winners of the consecutive title almost achieved the discomfort, but will return to Storr, Connecticut, hoping to regroup for another possible race during the 2025-26 season.
