Pitino banked the Big East player of the year RJ Luis Jr. at the end of the second half. Luis had nine points and seven rebounds, but shot only 3-17 from the countryside.
Zuby Ejiofor was the only player who shot well for St. John’s, scoring 23 points in 7 of 12 shots, while transporting 12 rebounds. The only other player in double figures for St. John’s was Deivon Smith with 13.

For Arkansas, three players scored in double figures in the victory of the annoyance. Billy Richmond III scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds, while Karter Knox and Johnell Davis had 15 and 13 points, respectively.
As a team, Arkansas shot better than St. John’s, but also fought a 3 -point land. The Razorbs fired 42.9% from the field but 2-19 from the range of 3 points.

Despite the shooting problems since Deep, Razorbs are moving to Sweet 16 in the first year of Calipari as coach.
Arkansas will play the winner of No. 11 Sowed Drake and Texas Texas Texas Tech, which is coming at 6:10 pm et on Saturday.
