To do even more strange things, multiple reports have said that Wade has already reached an agreement to become the NC state coach at the end of the tournament.

Wade admitted earlier this week that he had been in contact with Wolfpack, simply responding “yes” when asked.
Wade, 42, said he has always tried to be transparent with his attendees and players during this time of year.
“Just say it as it is,” Wade said. “You may not always like what I am going to say, but I am going to tell you what I think. I have always been like that, and there is no need to hide it. The boys are reading it on social networks. It is no secret. I will not ask them to do something that is not willing to do. It is not good if they do not approach it and if they feel there and that they are.”

The cowboys enter this year’s tournament with a 27-6 record and newly released from his second consecutive championship of the Southland conference. Previously he spent five seasons in LSU, two seasons in VCU and two in Chattanogo.
