An injured police officer in an attack against the assistant commissioner in Kurram has succumbed to his wounds.
Police sources confirmed the death of the police officer, according to an Express News report.
Yesterday, in Upper Kurram, three police officers, including Kurram’s assistant commissioner, were injured in a shot incident aimed at a convoy of the government that was heading to mediate a stop the fire between two tribes.
The Sho declared that, although the district administration had successfully mediated a high fire in Alto Kurram, the convoy, which was sent to negotiate with the other party, was criticized. Kurram’s assistant commissioner, Manan, who directed the convoy, was injured in the attack.
Police reported that the assistant commissioner was heading to Boshhera to maintain peace and order when the shot was opened from the Fatah Khel direction, said Express News.
According to the Police, three other officers were also injured in the shooting, and the injured commissioner injured, the income officer Saeed Manan, was transferred to the Teatro Operation.
The tribal leader, Shafiq Mathari, mentioned that the shots occurred while they, together with the administration and the police, were involved in the high fire process. The incident took place on Friday morning in Boshhera.
The Kurram district administration declared that security measures are being implemented in the area due to the prevailing situation. Meanwhile, a Jirga was also held at the commissioner’s office in Kohat.
Mrs. DHQ Hospital Parachinar, Dr. Syed Mir Hassan Jan, confirmed that the commissioner underwent surgery at DHQ hospital in Parachinar. He had suffered a gunshot wound in the abdomen and was transferred by plane to Peshawar.
Mrs. added that the assistant commissioner was transported by ambulance to the helipad for aerial evacuation after the trigger incident in Boshhera.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s information advisor, lawyer Dr. Saif, visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Peshawar Thursday night.
He was accompanied by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief secretary, Nadem Aslam Chaudhry and IG Police, Zulfiqar Hamid, said Express News.
The delegation visited the Assistant Commissioner Saeed Minan, who was injured in a shot incident in the Kurram district, and expressed his good wishes for his rapid recovery.
The assistant commissioner Minan was injured earlier this week in an attack during an operation of application of the law in Kurram.
The local government and security officials have condemned the assault and extended their support to the injured officer.

He stressed that war and hatred only bring destruction and that genuine progress can only be achieved by leaving aside hate and unity.
