Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Sherry Rehman’s daughter Marvi Malik passed away at the age of 35 after a brain hemorrhage on Sunday, the family announced.
He had been receiving treatment at a private hospital in Karachi, where he was admitted five days ago. His condition deteriorated three days before his death and he required ventilation.
His funeral prayer is scheduled for Monday at 3:30 pm at DHA Phase 8, Karachi, followed by burial at a local cemetery.
President Asif Ali Zardari expressed his deepest condolences and prayed for his forgiveness and that the family bear the loss strongly.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the death of a girl is an “indescribable pain”, offering his deepest condolences and praying for her elevated status in the hereafter and patience for the bereaved family.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also expressed his grief and offered prayers for his forgiveness and high ranks in the hereafter. Sindh Chief Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon described the sudden death as devastating and expressed his deepest condolences to the family, praying for their patience and resilience.
PPP leader Shazia Marri said the news left her “deeply sad and shocked,” calling the loss “irreparable.” He expressed sympathy for the family and prayed for Marvi Malik’s elevation in the hereafter and for strength for his family members to bear the pain.
Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab described the news as “extremely sad” and offered his deepest condolences to Sherry Rehman and her family. He prayed for forgiveness for Marvi Malik and his elevated status in the hereafter, and for patience for the grieving family.
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi expressed deep grief over the loss, calling it “unbearable” and offering prayers for Marvi Malik’s eternal peace.
