Punjab Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has issued strict managers to guarantee the timely evacuation of populations in the areas affected by floods, before the expected flood torrents, Pakistan’s associated press reported Monday.
In a statement, the CM emphasized the need to use all the resources available to minimize the loss of lives. She ordered the immediate relocation of residents of the river and low areas in safe places and instructed the rapid change of cattle from the rural regions affected by floods.

Maryam also requested continuous monitoring of the flood situation, particularly along the Sutlej River and other areas prone to floods.
“The Government must guarantee comprehensive arrangements for accommodation, food and medical treatment of flood victims, including the provision of vaccines with snake bites without delay,” he said.
The CM instructed the district administrations, the 1122 rescue and the relevant departments in Kasur, Pakpattan, Taunsa Sharif and other vulnerable districts to remain on a maximum alert. She warned that any negligence in response to disaster would not be tolerated.
