Mason Gooding confirmed his return to the Scream franchise.
In a new talk with Us Weekly, Shout 7 Star Mason Gooding gave fans a cryptic track of what is in the store when Ghostface hit again.
“I will say [the movie is] Domestic, I will say that he is home and unconventional, ”said Gooding, 29, to The Outlet.
For not versed, Gooding has portrayed Chad Meeks-Martin from Scream 5.
As reported, it is especially excited to have Kevin Williamson franchise creator back.
“From a creative point of view, [he] It is the dream, because he created that world, ”explained Gooding.
“Having that level of understanding, construction of the world and ethos behind Scream was incredibly gratifying. He gave me a greater understanding of the soul of the series as a whole,” he added.
While Chad is “only one piece of the biggest machination” of the Shout Universe, Gooding even said that Williamson’s participation will make the seventh delivery “an addition that encompasses it” that nails the tone and fans of world construction wait in a sequel, or any franchise film.
He Shout Saga began in 1996 with Sidney Prescott of Neve Campbell against Ghostface, along with Gale Weathers by Courtey Cox and Dewey Riley by David Arquette.
After the four original Wes Craven films, the series returned with Scream 5 in 2022, presenting new Leads Sam and Tara Carpenter, Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega, along with Chad and her twin sister Mindy, Jasmin Savoy Brown.
Although Campbell skipped Scream 6, is ready to return for the last installment, meeting with Cox, Gooding and Brown, while Barrera and Ortega leave the franchise.
The film will also bring the inherited characters, including Dewey from Arquette, Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley, both former ghosts.
