Karachi witnessed chaotic scenes on Sunday when a protest near the Karachi Press Club caused a mass jam in the area, leaving travelers stranded for hours.
Long lines of vehicles were seen, including cars and two -wheeled vehicles, which extended in key areas such as Empresas Market, Saddar, II Chundarigar Road and Club Road. Many residents were forced to break their fasts on the road with limited food and water, highlighting the severe impact of the interruption.
The authorities responded by closing several important routes around the Karachi Press Club, including Din Muhammad Wafai Road to Mr. Kiani Chowrangi and Fawara Chowk, which only worsened the congestion.
Citizens resorted to social networks to express their frustration, asking city officials to better manage such situations in the future and ensure that alternative routes clearly communicate.

The Sindh government imposed section 144 through Karachi on Monday, prohibiting meetings of more than five people amid concerns about possible protests.
The restriction aims to address concerns about public safety and maintain order amid possible interruptions. The officials warned that the offenders will face legal actions under the relevant provisions.
