A North Dakota man faces five years in prison after allegedly threatening an Augusta national employee.
It is alleged that Joseph Armand Zimmer, 48, told an employee that “would launch [the individual] In a cell and have [her] fire “and what” would blow [her] He directs, “according to the Department of Justice.
The Department of Justice said that Zimmer called the Golf Club in February and made numerous violent threats to the employee.

“Those who make threats against the members of our community in violation of the federal law will be responsible, as we continue working with our law members to identify and bring to justice those who seek to intimidate and instill fear in our citizens,” said Tara M. Lyons de la Us Tara M. in a press release.
“The FBI deals with the threatening communications with the greatest seriousness and will dedicate all the available resources to locate and prosecute those responsible for such actions,” added Paul Brown, a special agent in charge of the FBI Atlanta, added in the statement. “We hope that this accusation will send a clear message to anyone who contemplates the realization of threats, either genuine or manufactured, through electronic means.”
