- Matrox returns with double GPU card built for synchronized multiple visits configurations
- A380 Octal admits up to eight 5K screens and high -end audio
- Quad version offers less outputs, less power, for simpler facilities
Matrox, one of Nvidia’s first rivals, was well known in the 1990s for its high quality graphics cards.
Although it finally moved away from the conventional games market, the company has remained active in professional and multiple visualization environments, including the supply of exhibition systems for the sphere, mass music and the entertainment place right next to the Las Vegas strip.
Now, Matrox is preparing to launch a new double GPU graphics card aimed at feeding video walls and multiple samples settings.
Up to four 8k screens
The next Octal Octal Mature Luma Pro presents two A380E Intel A380E and eight mini displayport 2.0 exits, which allows you to drive up to four 8K screens or eight 5K screens at the same time.
The Octal A380 is a single -slot PCIE 4.0 X16 card and includes 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, with a power requirement of 130 W and active cooling.
Compatible APIs include Directx 12 Ultimate, Opegl 4.6, Vulkan 1.3 and OpenCl 3.0, which makes it compatible with a wide range of professional software environments. Mature PowerDesk software and its Mura developer tools are also compatible.
In capacities, the card can deliver high definition video on eight synchronized screens, which includes HDR support, VESA DSC compression, adaptive synchronization and HDCP 2.3. Broca’s maximum depth reaches up to 36 bits per pixel. Users can also transmit multichannel high definition audio through four digital outputs.
According to Matrox, two cards can be used in a single system and can be blocked in the frame for a synchronized output.
A second model in the alignment, the A380 Quad, offers similar features with a single GPU, 6 GB of memory and four full -size dispayport connectors instead of eight mini displayports. The Quad model attracts less power and is aimed at less demanding applications.
There is no word about the price or availability for any of the models. Matrox lists them only as “soon.”
