Major League Wrestling (MLW) Matt Riddle offered a sunny realization for professional fighters in the middle of recent high -profile outflows that took place last week.
WWE separated from the superstars known as Braun Strowman, Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Cora Jade, Gigi Dolan, Riley Osborne, Eddy Thorpe, Jakara Jackson, Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgg, Gold Mensah and Javier Bernal, according to reports Multiple. Fightful Select said the outputs were not direct launches, but the decision not to renew the contracts.

Riddle was also a launch of the WWE, separating from the company in September 2023. Since then, he has performed in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Lucha Lucha Aaa Worldwide and has left an indelible brand in MLW by becoming the world heavyweight champion to start the year.
He told Pak Gazette Digital that having the opportunity to act at a high level elsewhere turned out to be a “blessing.”
“It depends on what you do when they say goodbye. It is always unfortunate when people lose their jobs, but at the end of the day, for some of us, let’s say for me, for example, it was a blessing,” said Riddle. “Sometimes, you just need the right thrust. Sometimes you need someone to close a door for another to open. And that does not mean that all those who have been released, and that is not just the professional struggle, that is any profession.

“Trust me, it may seem that it has ended, or stinks, but when a door closes, another opens. Even when they fired me from UFC in the past, to get where I did in the professional struggle, and even now where I realized that I never shot myself more or less, but I have held eight different championships, and I could recapture the only championship that I could never win, and that was the different championship.
“Sometimes being fired is a disguised blessing.”
Riddle returned to MLW in Kings of Colosseum in 2024 and won Battle Riot VI that year. In January in Kings of Colosseum, he defeated Satoshi Kojima for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Then he defended him successfully in a triple threat match against Kojima and Alex Kane and then against another 39 men in Battle Riot VII.

On Saturday, he will face Donovan Dijak in a defense of the title in Azteca in Chicago. The event takes place at the Cicero stadium and can be seen on YouTube at 10 pm et.
