Matthew McConaughey has just revealed that he needed “liquid courage” to obtain a date with Camila Alves.
The Hollywood actor met with the model in a bar in Los Angeles in 2006 and mentioned the name of the tequila he was drinking at that time.
He told Australia Stellar Magazine: “We met the Margaritas almost two decades ago. I saw Camila from the other side of the bar and I didn’t think ‘Who is that?’, I thought ‘What is that?’ Tequila gave me the liquid courage to call it and we have been together since then, “he confessed.
The couple began their romance and then went to marry each other in 2012 and are now parents of three children.
Previously, Camila also revealed that his romance with Matthew almost hesitated after he introduced her to her mother, Mary Kathlene McCabe.
Speaking in Southern Living’s Cookie jam Podcast, Camila explained: “He did all these things when I entered the photo, right? I was really trying. I mean, he is really trying to me.”
“She would call me for all Matthew’s ex -boyfriend names, she would start talking to Spanish with me in a very broken way, a kind of putting [me] Below a little. I mean, all kinds of things, ”he revealed.
Since then, Camilla has become an “incredible relationship” with Matthew’s mother, saying: “I have a lot of respect for her. She respects me a lot that sometimes can be complicated. We always end with a good laugh and a joke.”
