The engineer Zia-Ur-Rehman, the younger brother of Jamiat Ulema-E-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has accepted the challenge of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s prime minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, to dispute a choice in Dera Ismail Khan.
“Gandapur, I accept your challenge. You are not worthy of Mauna’s response, so face me,” Zia said in a strongly written video message released on Sunday night.
The Fiery Exchange follows a press conference held at Lahore on Sunday, where Gandapur dared Fazl to play an election against his brother (CM) in Di Khan. Gandapur promised to leave the policy if the leader Jui-F won, but insisted that Mauna should do the same if he lost.
“First, try to defeat this son of MUFTI MAHMOOD. MAULANA FAZLUR Rehman dragged his leader of the power headquarters. Now, make his brother resigne and put him against me,” roared the challenger, addressing the prime minister directly.
Zia said that once he had publicly stated that if a DNA test was done, the prime minister would not even qualify as a true Gandapur. “The Gandapurs are brave and honorable people,” he added. “It is not one of them.”
Promising to free the people of KP from the claws of a “corrupt regime”, Fazl’s brother said that Gandapur’s pain and his desperate outburst were proof that his expulsion from power was just around the corner.
Maulana Fazl said Friday that any political change in KP should come from inside the Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI).
“I have made my suggestion: there should be a change in the province,” he said at a press conference in Peshawar.
He added that his party would decide his course of action after an internal consultation, emphasizing that the province could not pay more political instability.
