ISLAMABAD:
Maulana Syed Muhammad Abdul Khabir Azad, president of the Ruet-e-Hilal Central Committee, met Pope Leo XIV at the Vatican during a global interfaith meeting, his media office stated on Thursday.
The meeting, which included religious scholars, clerics and leaders of various faiths, focused on promoting global peace and interfaith harmony.
On the occasion, Maulana Khabir Azad, who is also the Khateeb of Lahore’s Badshahi Mosque and Ambassador of Peace, emphasized that interfaith harmony is an urgent need. “Through dialogue we can lead the world towards peace,” he said.
