While Flagg spent mainly time in the traditional progress position during his only season in Duke, the team’s list also listed him as a guard. The former Mavericks player and the current coach Jason Kidd admitted that he adopts a more nuanced approach to the players’ positions.
“I don’t look at the position,” Kidd said during a press conference.

Flagg is expected to make its debut in the NBA summer league on July 10 against the Los Angeles Lakers. Kidd revealed that he wants to see Flagg in Action in the ship’s position.
“I want to put it in the shipowner. I want you to feel uncomfortable and see how it reacts. Be able to execute the program. To be able to play (escort). Play (small striker). He feels comfortable playing that. We want to press. I think he will respond in a positive way.”

The partial owner of the Mavericks, Mark Cuban, supported the idea of trying Flagg in the ship’s place. Kidd said he received a textmillonario text message that said: “Warden, shipowner, shipowner, let the ball lift.”
The 9 -inch 6 -inch basketball phenomenon was accused of climbing the ball and obtaining the offensive sometimes in Duke. He finally led the Blue Devils in assists.

Kidd brushed the concerns about Flagg potentially making mistakes while driving the ball while playing the guard position.
“It is fine to fail, it is fine to turn the ball. We have talked about it. Only understanding the guys with which I have been that they have been young people of Giannis (Antetokounmpo), giving him the ball, and he failed, but he wanted to return and have the ball.”
Kidd expressed his emotion that Flagg had the ball in the summer league in Las Vegas. “I am excited to give him the ball against the Lakers and see what happens. We are going to start immediately,” said the MAV chief coach.
