The Dallas Mavericks made the shocking decision to change Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers before the deadline at the beginning of the season, a movement that will probably pursue the team fans base in the coming years.
The responses of the General Manager of Mavericks, Nico Harrison, have not sat well with anyone who enjoy the NBA or who are fans of the team. On Monday, Harrison went to the exchange once again after the team’s hopes of the team were seen in the game tournament.

“I knew that Luka was important for the fan base,” Harrison told a small group of reporters. “I didn’t know to what level.”
The acquisition of Doncic from the Lakers revitalized the team’s NBA championship possibilities. He averaged 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.5 assists in 28 games for the Lakers.

Harrison said he expected criticism from the trade, but thought he would have calmed down before if Anthony Davis could play more with Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, PJ Washington and Dereck Lively II. Davis suffered an injury in the first game he played for Dallas. Irving also suffered an injury that ended the season.
“We believe it is a championship caliber team and we would have been winning at a high level and that would have calmed part of the outrage,” he added. “And so, unfortunately, we couldn’t do that, so he continued and followed.”

The story will determine how trade is observed. But the Lakers who added Doncic to an aging LeBron James was definitely the best idea for his future.
