Karachi:
A new turn has reached light in the case of murder of Mustafa Amir. The Industrial Analytical Center of the University of Karachi has categorically denied the report that circulates on several media platforms, including social networks, in which the Sindh police supposedly cited the central report in support of its claim that “no traces of intoxicating, sedative or poisonous substances were found in the samples taken from the body of Mustafa Amir.”
Sources of the Research Center have declared that the report referred to in the media is misleading. According to the scientists involved, the biological samples provided by the police for chemical analysis were so burned that a scientific conclusion could not be drawn from them. Due to the severe burning of the body, internal organs such as liver and lungs were also charred, which makes any scientific analysis impossible.
The scientists of the Industrial Analytical Center clarified that they never issued any reports indicating that intoxicating or poisonous substance was not used in Mustafa Amir before their murder.
Speaking about anonymity, scientists also revealed that the media are only reading the second line of the report, while the first line clearly establishes: “The organs were completely burned. Therefore, a scientific analysis is not possible.”
A forensic expert also revealed that for DNA identification, the police provided a teeth sample for the test. The tooth pulp sample coincided with the family’s DNA, which was used to confirm that the body was Mustafa Amir.
It can be mentioned that Mustafa Amir’s exhumation took place on February 21 at the Edhi cemetery in Moach Goth, where forensic experts collected body samples.
