Megan Thee Stallion found love when she least expected it.
In a new interview with People In the magazine published on February 13, the Grammy-winning rapper reflected on her relationship with Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson and revealed that she was solely focused on improving herself first.
“Well, I don’t mean never [anybody] “Get into a relationship just because everyone else is in one, and I’m not going to tell you to get into a relationship just because you have to,” she said. WAP the hitmaker said.
Instead of pursuing romance, Megan focused on herself. “I think because I finally started to have a better mindset about myself and my life, and I had already been working hard to heal,” she explained, adding that she was going to therapy and enjoying the activities she enjoyed. “Maybe God just opened that space for me to have someone who loved me well,” he said.
Now, the 30-year-old says she feels something new: peace of mind. “This is one of the first times I’ve gotten too comfortable,” she added with a giggle. “I’m comfortable, baby!”
Having publicly debuted their romance in July 2025, Megan insists that love should not be forced. “People have to stop trying to be in love and chasing love,” she said. “They just have to let it come to them.”
