Meghan Markle admitted that she was surprised by the level of formality that followed within the royal family when she met the members.
Speaking about his meeting with Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, Meghan revealed that he felt very tactical after his little meeting.
Speaking in her docuseries of Netflix, ‘Harry and Meghan’, the Duchess of Sussex said: “When Will and Kate came, and I met her for the first time, they approached dinner, I remember that I was in torn jeans and I was barefoot.
She added: “I think I began to understand very quickly that formality abroad continued inside. There is a way of being, and then you close the door and you go, ‘you can relax now’, but that formality moves to both sides. And that was surprising to me.”
Prince Harry left the royal family in 2020 with his wife Meghan Markle and his son, Prince Archie. Later, the couple accused the royal family of showing racism towards their son and publicly shared their complaints on television.
