Meghan Markle mentions the important reason she returned to California after her trip to Europe.
The Duchess of Sussex, who attended Paris Fashion Week in Paris last week, said she had to fly back home to see her children.
During yesterday’s summit, Alyson Shontell, Fortune’s editor-in-chief, told the duchess: “You’ve been to Europe. You’ve just been to New York, where, congratulations, you’ve just won a humanitarian award for your work with online safety for parents and children, and you came home for a day to see your kids.”
Meghan laughed and replied: “Because I had to. We were talking about it because everyone was saying ‘Oh, you must have gone from Paris straight to New York.'”
“I said ‘No, I need to see my babies.’ So I went back to California for a day and then I moved on,” she admitted.
Meghan is the mother of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. She shares her children with Britain’s Prince Harry.
