A cause known for supporting Meghan Markle has been hit by its own accusations of sexism and racism.

For those who don’t know, this cause once had Meghan Markle as its global ambassador and is called World Vision. However, the Charity Commission has begun assessing them over alleged allegations of “toxic” and “hostile” workplaces, among other things.

The 44-year-old duchess has taken many trips to promote this cause, but ended up cutting ties with each and every charity to “focus on the Prince’s personal foundation” after marrying Prince Harry. This was all “starting with a clean slate to focus on the UK”.

Many years after their separation, senior managers have been slapped with accusations that they “ignored, silenced or inappropriately handled” complaints raised over the years.

However, the Telegraph reports that World Vision’s spokesperson has since “disputed” all of those claims, saying: “Our talented and dedicated staff are very important to us. We provide several mechanisms to deal with staff complaints and, if substantiated, we act immediately to put things right and take action following our policies that are robust and fair.”

“We operate to the highest standards set by the Charity Commission and our processes are dedicated to meeting those high standards across all our operations. The Charity Commission is considering its response to the complaint, and we will respond fully if we are asked any queries.”

“The international development sector has faced a number of challenges that have led to a significant restructuring of our operations. This has led to many job losses, as we shaped our organization to face the future. We recognize that such challenges, which have involved job losses through layoffs, are painful for us all, as many valued employees have had to leave the organization.”
