Melanie C, known as Sporty Spice, opened up about how she found love in the digital age.
During his appearance in life without cuts In a podcast with hosts Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne, the 51-year-old singer revealed that she met her partner, Australian model Nick Dingwall, on the exclusive dating app Raya in November 2023.
“No one knows, but we actually met on Raya,” confessed Mel C.
“I don’t know how much to say, but I was in a relationship before.”
Reflecting on her mindset after the breakup, she admitted, “I never want to see anyone again.”
However, after some nudging from his friends, he decided to try the app.
“We would go through [Raya] to see if there were any hotties there, see what celebrities we could spot, which is always fun,” he joked.
Mel C was in London when she met Dingwall, who was in Sydney.
That distance apparently initially worked in his favor, he said: “I thought, ‘Well, he’s not under my feet at all.'”
With a DJ gig already booked in Australia, she took a chance and made plans to meet him.
After a long day of travel, he kept his dinner date with the model, who had made reservations at a popular Sydney spot.
“I didn’t want to let the guy down,” he admitted. “And we’ve been together ever since.”
